St Johns Minor Ladies vs Geevagh – League semi final

Our minor team squared off against their rivals from Geevagh in the highly anticipated league semi-final.

From the second the ball was thrown in, it was evident that both teams were hungry for victory. The energy crackled around the field as players from both teams displayed their prowess with the ball, each maneuver met with roars of approval from the spectators.

At halftime, the scoreline was tight, with only a solitary point separating the two teams. The tension in the air was thick as supporters eagerly awaited the second half, knowing that the game could swing in either direction.

As the clock ticked on and the minutes dwindled, it became clear that this match would be decided by the slimmest of margins. With just minutes remaining on the clock, the scoreboard displayed a deadlock: John’s 2:06, Geevagh 2:06, with neither team willing to concede defeat.

In the end, it was Geevagh who emerged victorious, mustering a few crucial scores in the dying moments of the game. While the outcome may not have been what the St. John’s faithful had hoped for, there was no denying the valiant effort put forth by their team.

Though the result may not have gone their way, the St. John’s players can hold their heads high. They fought with courage and heart until the very end, showcasing the true essence of the game.
