The St. John’s U-12 Sky Blues had a fantastic victory in the semi-final of the Festival of Football Shield against the determined and skillful Eoghan Rua Yellows in Castleconnor. The girls had worked hard in the league games leading up to this semi-final and their performances had been steadily improving.
Right from the beginning of the contest, the team found their rhythm. They scored some impressive long-range goals from midfield and showed great opportunism in front of the goal, resulting in some excellent scores. The girls displayed strong defensive work throughout the game, maintaining their focus and contributing to an outstanding team performance.
With this victory secured, the team now eagerly looks forward to the finals day, which will take place at the Centre of Excellence next Saturday.
