St. John’s U16 girls traveled to Grange on Thursday evening to face Molaise Gaels in the championship. Supporters on both sides were treated to an exciting match, with great football from both teams. The game was tightly contested throughout, but Molaise capitalized on their goal opportunities and emerged victorious with a scoreline of 4-9 to 3-8.
A big well done to the St. John’s girls for putting up a great fight, especially since many of them had played just 24 hours earlier in the minor championship final against Geevagh/St. Michael’s.
A big thank you to Molaise Gaels for hosting the game and ensuring the pitch was in excellent condition.
We play DRP on Tuesday evening at 6:30 in Cuilbeg, where a victory would keep our hopes of qualifying alive in what has proven to be a very tight division.
